The Diarist is a psychological drama exploring the alluring side of power and sexual attraction. Andrea Davies hopefully enters the paradoxical world of 1950s womanhood but she soon veers into an increasingly menacing extramarital affair with Richard Hayes, a dominant ad executive. However, the Diarist is no 50 shades of gray, more like a Hitchcock Love Story with a dose of David Lynch. The story starts innocently enough but soon turns bizarre as the inner worlds of the characters are revealed. The Diarist immerses listeners into the 1950s world of Madison Avenue advertising. Secrets are exposed, darkness descends, and for Andrea all roads appear to lead to a harrowing fate.

A chilling thriller set in the stylized world of 1950s New York City. Hailed as "if Hitchock had written a love story" (Geek Girl Authority) and "runner up for dark workplace drama" (Radio Public).  The Diarist is the story of a naive and attentive  secretary, Andrea Davies. When Andrea submits to a passionate affair with her boss -the charismatic psychopath Richard Hayes- she enters a web of sadism and deception

Andrea Davies introduces us to her world as an ambitious secretary in the 1950s world of advertising. We meet Richard Hayes, one of the firm's partners and the object of Andrea's infatuation. Mother grills Andrea about the eligible bachelors over lunch. Andrea is surprised by a promotion that brings her closer to Richard.
